Very rare match worn Kilkenny hurling jersey from the 2001 championship.
This particular O'Neills design was worn by Kilkenny from 2001 to 2003 but the traditional stitched number indicates that this jersey is from '01 (sublimated numbers were introduced in '02). The official 'Guinness Hurling Championship' print below the GAA logo means that it was used in either the Leinster final against Wexford, which the Cats won, or the All-Ireland semi-final versus Galway, which they lost.
We are trying to establish who wore No. 23 for the Wexford game but according to the match programme for the Galway game, No. 23 was worn by eight-time All-Ireland-winner Eddie Brennan.
